Our Mission

Is this your first time to a top conference? Have you ever wanted your own work recognized by this huge and active community?

Do you encounter difficulties in polishing your ideas, experiments, paper writing, etc? Then, this session is exactly for you!

This year, we are hosting again the New in ML workshop at ICML 2025. This workshop is intended for anyone who has not published a paper at a top conference yet (e.g. ICML, NeurIPS). We invited top researchers to review your work and share their experience with you. The best papers will get oral presentations and awards!

Our biggest goal is to help you publish papers at the next ICML conference, and generally provide you with the guidance you need to contribute to ML research fully and effectively!

Within quota limits, the authors of the best accepted papers may be receiving tickets to ICML 2025, to be attributed according to merit and need.

Submission Information

This workshop WILL NOT reject any submissions. All submitted papers will receive constructive comments from reviewers, who will provide suggestions for improvement. This process allows authors to become more familiar with the submission and review workflow.

What to do when you receive the results: since we have a large enough room, we hope everyone can benefit from the workshop by receiving feedback and having the opportunity to showcase their work. This will help participants further improve their research toward meeting main conference standards in the future. Therefore, we have decided:

  • Papers marked as "Accepted (Poster)" are strongly encouraged to bring a poster on-site at our workshop, as the reviewers believe these papers are already mature enough to be presented.
  • For papers marked as "Accepted", if you feel your work is also ready for discussion and you would like to share it and receive feedback, you are very welcome to present a poster on-site at our workshop as well.
